The Malibu Coast is distinguishing itself as a viticulture area of note.
CC and Jim have always had a passion for wine and after careful evaluation, they fulfilled a lifelong dream of growing their own.
Thus, the Calayas Estate Vineyard was established.
CC has made a commitment to produce a quality product without compromising her personal endeavors as a steward to the environment. She ensures the vineyard has a low environmental impact and the processing and procurement is carried out with sustainable social responsibility.
The vineyard is located on original Chumash land within the Malibu coast of California. In accordance with CC's ancestral roots, CC and Jim wanted to choose a word that had deep meaning: Calayas. Calayas is a Native American word meaning "Path".
Calayas Chardonnay is the culmination of the many paths that led CC and Jim to this wine's production.
